一， 生命的脆弱
大地猛然一次剧烈震动
坚实的土地变成波浪
美好的家园顿为平地
满目疮痍 天塌地陷
泥石流和滚石摧毁公路和房屋
灾难，空前的灾难
数万生命被掩埋
也许只在一瞬间
生命像脆弱的灯芯
熄灭了 魂魄不散
二， 生命的顽强
像岩石缝中的小草
在坍塌的水泥板下
伸出了一只小手
摇晃着，在风雨中
代替了嘶哑的呼喊
声音已经没有气力发出
只有那只小手
是向死神不屈服的宣言
一个小时过去了
十个小时过去了
五十个小时过去了
小手的摆动越来越缓慢
终于，等来了救援的队伍
死神没有战胜那只顽强的小手
像枯草逢春
生命迎来了春天
三， 生命的感动
总理流泪了
亲人流泪了
每个人都流泪了
一位老师用身躯挡住石板挽救了四个学生
一对年轻的父母用身躯顶住塌墙
让年幼的孩子不受伤害
一个个雕塑般的姿态
是一个个生命震撼的定格
让感人的故事永远流传
不，不要让瓦砾下的生命变成了僵直的数字
只要有一线希望就全力抢救
这是党中央的命令
分秒必争，向死神宣战
一个又一个生命得到重生
重生的生命是明天的希望
生命的礼赞
生命是天地间最宝贵的
生命是天地间最美丽的
不惜一切挽救生命
因此，生命才变成了燃烧的诗行
生命才变成了悠扬的旋律
生命才变成了沸腾的暖流
生命才变成如泣如诉的长歌
伸出挽救生命的手吧
让我们大家一起谱写壮丽的新篇

Part One, the Fragility of Life
The earth suddenly became a violent quaking,
The solid land immediately is waving,
The beautiful homeland at once became toppled down
Everywhere is a scene of devastation in the countryside and town.
Mud--flows and running rocks destroyed roads and houses afterward,
A disaster and an unprecedented catastrophe occurred downward.
Tens of thousands of lives were buried and dead,
Perhaps only in a flash instead,
These lives are as fragile as the wick in the wind,
Died out but their souls don’t spread in bind.
Part Two, the Tenacity of Life
Like the little grass in the crack of the rock swaying,
Under the collapsed cement board cracking,
A little girl stretched out a hand,
Swaying in the wind, rain and,
Instead of a hoarse screaming,
For she has no power to utter out a sounding.
Only the little hand,
Is the declaration that she does not yield to the death land,
An hour passed,
Ten hours passed,
Fifty hours passed,
She is swinging the hand more and more slowly,
But the rescue team comes finally.
Death did not overcome the little hand,
As if a little dry grass meets the moist spring,
The little hands embrace the life’s spring!
Part Three, We Moved the Life
Prime minister is in tears,
Relatives are in tears,
Everyone is in tears,
A teacher died but saved four students in the collapsed classroom,
For he with his body supported the stone board to change the doom;
A pair of young parent died to support a collapsed wall,
But young children under their parent’s bodies are safe in the fall.
One after another pose like a statuesque in being motionless,
Like the frames of the lives to shock everyone speechless,
Their moving stories will be told forever,
No, don't let the lives under the rubble into stiff number,
As long as there is a glimmer of hope whatever
We should rescue them with our great effort ever,
This is the Central Party Committee’s command
Count every minute and second, to war with the death and,
One another life gets reborn in the narrow,
The rebirth of life is the hope of tomorrow!
Part Four, a Psalm of Life
In the world life is the most valuable thing,
Between heaven and earth life is the most beautiful being,
We should save lives at all costing,
Therefore, the life becomes a poem in burning.
Life becomes a melody rising and falling,
Life becomes the warm current in boiling,
Life becomes the moving song in singing,
Stretch out our hands to save lives as many as we can,
Let us work together to write a chapter as glorious as can!
